  • FISCHER's rating of the film Where the Heart Is

  • MarcW's rating of the film Where the Heart Is

I didn't know this film is that rarely seen. Maybe the most beautifully filmed piece by Boorman after Excalibur. The thing with the paintings may be a bit pretentious, but is fine. Surprisingly sweet and warm for this director, whi might wanted to put a contrast to the grim 80s mainstream reality. thus he remolded a typical bourgeois 80s family in an idealistic way ... truly cinematic.
