This is a fun genre mixer that delivers on plenty of action and laughs in signature Walter Hill style with a certain light heartedness that possibly comes from the Zemeckis contribution. An intense fairy tale about greed in an urban setting, truly beautiful.
Pretty solid B movie. Some say this is one of Walter Hill's best films. I wouldn't say that. But it is classic Hill if that makes sense. Would mke a great double feature with "judgement Night"
Ice cube's pointing in this is pretty legendary, and his delivery of lines while pointing is even greater. Paxton is solid as always in his normal upstanding guy in an insane situation mode.
