Excruciatingly long and painful, unfortunately feels far more generic and studio produced than its lovely and endearingly awful predecessor. Still has this certain strangeness and unabashed lameness that makes it extremely watchable to me. Dakota Fanning fucking RULED though but then again sadistic, evil little girls are a weakness of mine.
Jared Mobarak is a fucking idiot, "You know it’s pretty bad when the second film of a ‘saga’ can have absolutely no resolution, literally start and end without adding anything to the tale".... oh, kinda like The Empire Strikes Back?
Direction wise it is better than the original with a stronger cinematic feel, better edits and a tighter grip on effects and the blood, but there exist no chemistry between Jacob and Bella and everything that happens in the middle of the film drags on like syrup. Over-dramatic because all young love is more important than anything else in the world and tension builds up but nothing happens in the end.
I'm obliged to give credit where credit is due. There is one good thing about this film: eye candy. Plenty of pointless eye candy. Not that I complain, something had to be compelling about the movie, and that was it. The writing is amateurish, the characters moronic and the story dull and insipid. So, even though I'm all for eye candy, when gawking at abs is the most engaging part of the movie, something's wrong.
It's nothing against the whole vampire-teen-romance-saga, but this one really sucks. The only thing worth talking about is the soundtrack, but it always makes you think what the hell those good bands are doing in a soundtrack for such a movie ($$$ !)
This is undoubtedly a film for Team Jacob. And quite possible directed by someone from Team Jacob. Edward goes topless in Italy and that only made him looks like shit when inevitably compared to Jacob.
I'm confused. Belle is dumped by her vampire boyfriend. Then she starts romancing a werewolf boy, but then he too dumps her. Vampire boy and werewolf boy run back to her and I guess compete for her affections. Wouldn't it make sense if she dumped them both and started dating invisible boy?
A movie that basically says it's okay to use a guy that actualy cares about you to get what you want. Even though this is actualy a worse movie than Twilight, i enjoyed it more because Bella and Jacob have a little bit more chemistry than nothing from Edward. This movie's good for a laugh though as long as you dont take it seriously. If you do, i fear you.
