Critics reviews

The end of the film is pure release. Not only is the climactic staging of their mega-show a triumph (now with “more frogs and dogs and bears and chickens and whatever!” per Kermit in a final fit of inspiration), it also ends with Kermit and Miss Piggy getting married for real—or so it seems. The lines between performance and “reality” are thus blurred in The Muppets Take Manhattan, and in such a manner that even youngsters can notice the ambiguity.
