It’s 1850, and Alejandro de la Vega lives quietly in San Francisco with wife Elena. But when tyrants threaten to change the course of history, he dutifully dons his black mask and cape and defends California’s statehood as the sword-swinging Zorro.

Is this a movie made for Disney Channel? An annoying kid tries to steal the show and Catherine Zeta-Jones behaves like she play an annoying bitch who suddenly hates Zorro - a man she even loved more than the man behind the mask? A laughable CGI moment with a horse jump on a train add to the stupidity. Antonio Banderas seem to want to go home throughout the film. One of the worst sequels in memory.
A pale shadow of the smart and entertaining previous film, marred by a weak villain (Rufus Sewell is just not good at playing bad guys), a rote marital-problem subplot and an overall derivative, been-there-done-that feel to the shenanigans. The horse steals the scene. Even from Zorro. This is not good.
