A drunken good-for-nothing peasant, joke of the town, scourge of his family, bellyache to his (rare) employers, easy source of income for gamblers, dreams his mezcal-sodden dreams of one day becoming an important man. It's a wonderful, very funny film. The odd thing is how closely the lead actor resembles Toshiro Mifune, it's the damndest thing... hey, wait a minute! You must be kidding me!
