A cheeky (but not altogether un-serious) exploration of the sensuality of the cinema - the seduction, the tease, the build-up, the climax, the descent, implicit in film - in the manipulation of image, texture, sound, for the viewer. Cute premise, and one with intellectual merit, undermined, I think, by coming across as too unquestioningly heteronormative and male-gaze-y... The editing in the 2nd half was superb.

Reminded me of scrambled porn on the TV. I see the foreplay and intercourse leading to orgasm, but where's the shameful feelings afterwards that make you want to leave immediately?

If you can’t talk about love (because you have other way to eat the filth of unspeakable) you can actually show merging corpses in an ideal, universal orgy – a brutal, flesh compound that exposes a vague sense of solidarity that resemble love, but solely in the death-driven, annihilating side.

Film as moving, sticky art. A shuddering, scratchy ode to eroticism and lust, as much an exercise in nautical sound design as it is of saucy, eye-watering visuals - creaky boats, seagulls, waves and crickets soundtrack all those winks, lips and zips. Warning: leave plenty of time post-viewing for a stiff head-clearing walk.

A testament to the sensuality of film and to analog film itself. Tscherkassky's films are usually patience testing but this wise collage of film and advertising transcends his usual limitations.

Loved it. Great atmosphere created using experimental techniques. Very well used music, could as well stand alone. This is kind of a film that asks you many, many questions. Answers are deep hidden. And, apart from everything else... it's beautiful. Just beautiful.
