Schnabel's masterpiece which he will have a hard time topping. Wonderful imagery especially the montage of Bauby's trip to Lourdes with U2's Ultraviolet playing over the images is some of the best put to film in the last 20 years. Amalric performance is amazing. But this all about the images and what beautiful images they are.
This is the most beautiful I've ever seen. I can watch it over and over. I just read the book and fell in love all over again. I luckily came across this film in my library and it changed my life. Really is an amazing film.. I can't even begin to describe.
