Critics reviews

It remains my favorite of Coppola’s films, even though it’s possible to conclude, after listening to the DVD commentary of both Coppola and his brilliant editor Walter Murch, that Murch may be the film’s true auteur. Atmospheric, morally troubling, and often suspenseful, this is the sort of movie you’re likely to carry around with you long after you’ve seen it.
