Beautiful, interesting, incredible cinema.
With complete creative freedom and in ten minutes, each director brings their own interpretation of “time” to the screen.
Aki Kaurismäki (★★★) / Victor Erice (★★★★) / Werner Herzog (maaaybe ★★ )Jim Jarmusch (★) / Wim Wenders (★) / Chen Kaige (★★★ — concept was nice) /// The only actually GOOD one was Victor Erice's film.
All of the stories are very different, so it's difficult to rate a whole film. The most interesting and/or (I believe) powerful stories were directed by Aki Kaurismaki, Victor Erice and Werner Herzog. I was very disappointed with Wim Wenders...
Erice e Herzog i migliori...
commissioned anthology films tend to disappoint
the only short films that caught my attention were Werner Herzog's Ten Thousand Years Older and Victor Erice's Lifeline.
I give my four stars for Erice's Lifeline and Herzog's Ten Thousand Years Older. Spike Lee's We Wuz Robbed didn't fit in at all and was annoying.
a meditation on time. good soundtrack.
