essential viewing for fans of Lynch, as it (per the synopsis) clues you in on the ultra mysterious goings on in Inland Empire and also gives you even more things to f#ck with your mind...dvd bonus...criterion, listen to the people!
Interesting outtakes from Inland Empire, but I can see why Lynch cut them out as most set an interesting mood, but don't go anywhere really. I would have liked the meeting between the polish woman and the watch seller to be included (their only scene in English), and Nicki/Susan's story about her step dad.
It's just a compilation of deleted scenes from Inland Empire. Still, a scary place to be. There are distracting problems with the audio in some areas, but I'd say it's worth a viewing, even if just for the 'lucky watch' scene with Karolina Gruszka. It's one of the best set pieces to come out of the project and should have been included in the original film.
This is a selection of deleted scenes of varying quality. I like the eerie atmospheric moments in the mansion, Natassja Kinski, the rabbit walking through the hallways, Sue alone in the dark holding a candle, the magic watch-seller, Smithy joining the circus. Just watch the first 47 minutes. The last 30 minutes are devoted to a boring monologue and some hookers being miserable.
