Robert DeNiro running down the street with a machine gun is not a good idea. You worry that he might fall. Of course there was none of that in 'Heat'. This is nothing like the original. More guns, Same cynicism.
2.6 Boys and their guns. The sheik wants the victims to be dead as if they died by accident. So I was expecting some clever showpieces - but somehow it's all Boom Boom, and the woman's part is as embarrassing as ever in films like this: waiting patiently for the man to come home from his bloody job. Well made, though.
not so bad. i haven't figured out how to give half stars yet, but it's a resonably high 2. not terrible, but lighter than it pretends to be, with a decent story and setting, combined with a horrible script. if DeNiro had less lines, his character would have been much better, and maybe if everyone else followed suit it would have been better overall. for sure a fun-ish pulpy action picture. don't worry about it.
