The premise was more interesting on paper than it was on film. Infuse the "Mirror, Mirror" episode of the original Star Trek with superheroes and this is what you'll get. The voice acting is terrible (William Baldwin as Batman? Seriously?) and I actually couldn't wait for this to end. And I live for this shit!
2-2.5. Entertaining enough as a superhero 'beat 'em up', but ultimately doesn't deliver a WHOLE lot in the way of theme or character development. At an individual character level, there are debates as to the merits of being in bed with the mob to guarantee peace, as well as a climactic clash over the virtue of nihilism, but it's not an evocative narrative. And it leans too much on familiarity with the characters.
