Kristen Rytter and the rest of the girls shine but after David Tennant’s departure, the series lacked a purpose, a goal and something truly meaningful to say and the stories started to drag out and get more and more boring and soap operatic. There was highlights but not enough and it started to repeat itself. The series ended anti-climatic and on a bit of a downer too. Ritter’s butt looks nice in tight jeans though.
Probably the strongest out of all the Marvel hero mini-studies that Netflix has released so far, as it tries to delve into more personal issues related to the burden of "heroism". The sarcasm mixed with a sort of a neo-noir approach also helps to set this one apart from the other adaptations.
The writing is definitely not great, but Krysten Ritter's pretty great, David Tennant's pretty great, and there's a power ranger in it as a heroin addict. Cause if you're on Power Rangers, you're known for versatility.
