  1. easternicko's rating of the film Home from Home: Chronicle of a Vision

  2. Superfrog's rating of the film Home from Home: Chronicle of a Vision

Slow but gripping, tells its tale and I expect sets up ground for the second part.

  3. Patrick Hoffman's rating of the film Home from Home: Chronicle of a Vision

  5. Ludovic72's rating of the film Home from Home: Chronicle of a Vision

  8. Cinema Omnivore's rating of the film Home from Home: Chronicle of a Vision

8.0/10, my review - https://wp.me/p1eXom-3zT “An estimable roman-fleuve faithfully recapitulates its auteur’s life’s work, aided by its chromatic aesthetics and a humble vision of naturalism."

  10. FISCHER's rating of the film Home from Home: Chronicle of a Vision

  14. Nadin's rating of the film Home from Home: Chronicle of a Vision

Cinematographically, this is an astonishing piece and a real advance compared to the previous Heimat films. But narrative-wise, I'm not entirely sure where to situate this. It is certainly good, and enjoyable, when you have seen the Heimat trilogy. But I didn't find it as gripping.

  16. josé neves's rating of the film Home from Home: Chronicle of a Vision

Historical "quality" film, or how the cinematic expression can be reduced to the lowest common denominator. "Exemplary" story with artistic precepts, in which the digital teams up with a "photoshop" purpose and image acquires an hyper-meaning, simultaneously reducer and pleonastic. The banality of "art cinema" in all its obvious expression. As Von Trier, Spielberg,Reygadas, Haneke,Wenders... "Arte" is their channel

  17. fernando del razo's rating of the film Home from Home: Chronicle of a Vision

the best kind of traditional saga: emotional, classy and strongly constructed.

  18. Corriel's rating of the film Home from Home: Chronicle of a Vision

A beautiful, interesting historically and universally, at times poetical or touching film.

  19. Roberto Carlos's rating of the film Home from Home: Chronicle of a Vision

Die Andere Heimat is an epic tale of aspiration, hope and (broken) dreams. It's a captivating, moving and surprisingly funny masterpiece. Plus, Werner Herzog's cameo at the end - what an icing on the cake!
