A dramatically richer and more meaningful take on The Omen. By not making the spawn of Satan a young boy, it explores themes of capitalist- industrialist greed as a gateway to metaphorical Armageddon very well. Yet, the horror element lacks The Omen's grander style and setpieces, and like that series, feels repetitive and corny in its execution. However, a scarier remake could work in Trump's anti-environmental era.
