Critics reviews

The film’s critique of race and exploitation is devastating. While watching it, it’s hard to find any position that offers comfort. The black skin of the men is so dark, so muscular, so exploitable. The white women are the wrecks of a patriarchal system that has thrown them and their aging bodies to the dregs. Nothing about this situation is good or will end well.
