Mohandas Gandhi stood against British rule over his country. Dedicated to the concept of nonviolent resistance, he was initially dismissed by English officials. Eventually, however, his cause became internationally renowned, and his gatherings of passive protest moved India towards independence.

Our take

An epic historical drama based on the life of India’s Father of the Nation, who led the freedom struggle of India through non-violence, non-cooperation, and peace. An iconic performance by Sir Ben Kingsley as Gandhi, where he effortlessly ages 50 years in the span of the film.
