At points an intriguing crime thriller, which is filmed in often typically soft focus in line with much of the 1970s artistic canon. The intrigue and suspense deliver some rewards as well the often bizarre imagery (the cheetah). The flawed script and the facial hyperboles of the stellar cast -mainly from Jon Voigt- reduce considerably the film's overall impact. Enjoyable up to a point it is good but unconvincing.
