Deodato’s Cannibal-Horror adjacent actioner is a fine time, but it never quite achieves liftoff. Maybe it’s a little too talky or the Jonestown exploitation just doesnt shock as it does in Eaten Alive. Either way, more Michael Berryman could have rectified any and all problems here.
