Workmanlike, if a little halting, documentary laudibly attempting to throw fresh light on those in neglect or need of reappraisal. It doesn't reach any conclusions - how could it in some ways - but provides a needed signpost to the work and perhaps commentary, however obliquely, on the transitory nature of life, creation and death.
