  • dionysus67's rating of the film Broadcast

A fantastically astute short by Angelopoulos made under the colonels' nose. Filmed in mixed style that includes verité shots of pedestrians interviewed and freeze-frames, it also anticipates Arvanitis' talents to come with some elegant tracking shots of the public servant who will reap the reward before, eventually, he becomes consumed by the broadcasting team. A fresh and ebullient message on Greek modernization.
