One of the best films of 2019 is Swedish director Roy Andersson's "About Endlessness," winner of the Best Director Award at the Venice Film Festival. It might not be a favourite of the typical Scorsese or Tarantino fan. My review discusses the film in detail. https://moviessansfrontiers.blogspot.com/2019/12/245-swedish-director-roy-anderssons.html
3.5 I wouldn't' say this is Andersson's best and I wish it had more funny parts, as the humor of director is top notch in general, but overall About Endlessness is a good film and is just magnificent to look at.
About Endlessness is like an Unreleased album from a great musician. Some bits would fit right in their best work. Some are just straight up misses. Most are B sides, which, when you love the artist, might be fun to experience. But at the end of the day, the release isn't the best nor the worst, it's the most forgettable. Endlessness is also emptiness.
