Absolutely perfect translation of the spirit of the Peanuts comic strips.
This has that rare combination of melancholy and discovery of warmth that makes It's a Wonderful Life so memorable.
Everything just works here. Especially the soundtrack.
Maybe I shouldn't have watched this with my students but I did. And I've never wanted to bury my head in the ground more. (Maybe a little more when I saw Knowing.) Sorry Charlie...sorry Angelo and the other 196 fans. If offered this one again or a noose...I'll take the latter.
