24 Hour Party People Directed by Michael Winterbottom

Critics reviews

As inconsistent as the quixotic label he charts here, Winterbottom has produced films great and terrible, but none, perhaps, greater than this. Post-punk remains a sadly under-explored pop cultural moment in cinema, but 24 Hour Party Peoplethrows down a gauntlet for anyone who might try to tackle it, a work as gorgeous and messy and protean as the music it documents.
