Dry Summer

Not a great film, but well worth watching for its breath-taking b/w cinematography and superb direction which expertly tells a tragic story in 90-minutes. Director Metin Erksan has poetic style that eschews the artsy and hones to the bone of the story. Best of all it curtails any speechifying. The final reel is smart, suspenseful filmmaking a little heavy on the allegory, but a completely rewarding finale.
