I don’t even have ten.

Why is this filed under Contempt?
A positive one from Alonso: What do you feel when you watch a great film?
Juan C.P.’s welcoming: New to the Auteurs? You belong here
Christopher’s recent one about weird trivial facts
Troy Myer’s: Is this the greatest site ever?… of course it is
Maurice’s we love Roger Ebert thread
Which squared off against Yves Roger Ebert sucks thread. A compelling battle it was
^ Ooh! Thanks for bringing my attention to that “What do you feel when you watch a great film?” thread.
Can’t forget Adam Cook’s legendary sight and sound poll thread. Individual results for the heroic project start on page 11
And Adam’s official final tally of the auteurs 10 favorite films
The fact I could add ten more favorite threads makes me realize firstly that we have a great number of insightful, funny and very cool people on this forum and secondly that I spend way too much time here
filed under contempt?
nicely done : )
—This is still ongoing for the next week
—This thread, like a molotov cocktail that was thrown and now burns as one of the first truly inspired Garage arguments
—This one died sadly, so I guess I’m alone here
—This, which was a futile attempt to at least make endless list making purposeful… also died because everyone started discussing the Dark Knight (again) and whether ‘David Lynch is Overrrated’ elsewhere
My two favorites would probably be the “Is Kane the best film?” and “Film and Politics” threads, but the latter died far too early. Also enjoying the discussion on Salo that I hope to contribute to once I rewatch the film, it has been some time.
“The thread I started on Updike that turned into a fascinating literary discussion and showed me how cool and profoundly intelligent Neh, T and Bob are”
Thanks for that Jay. You too. We should revive that thread, it was a good one.

really, I’d love to see a list…it would be so interesting…
