Lenght

The Japanese release of Samurai Rebellion is 128 minutes so why was some 7-8 minutes cut from the Criterion release. It seems to have effected the climax.

Interesting, and worth checking. I believe the old vhs release clocked way past 2 hours.

I’m curious as well, does anyone know what the 8 minutes cut out was?

Also, as I was watching it I noticed the audio seems to do odd things. Sometimes it gets suddenly louder, and sometime you can hear an odd cut in the middle of a sentence are some examples. Anybody know if it was just a flawed audio transfer or some other reason?
