Homage or complete and total rip-off?
And what are Wendy Carlos and Rachel Elkind up to nowadays anyway?

I was thinking total rip-off until the 2012 flood mirrored the Shining’s cascading blood…

Maybe I don’t have a problem with this; contemporary trailers so lack inventiveness that blatant stealing from great trailers at least puts you one step closer to greatness…

This is an acceptable homage (is that an oxymoron?).
I wouldn’t call it a rip-off; I’m sure this footage is in the film & in post the director decided to use the music from The Shining’s teaser for their teaser.
I gotta say though, the funniest part is that instead of a website it says “Google Search: 2012” after saying ‘find out the truth’. What pessimistically presumptuous nonsense.
I’m going to laugh heartily once 2013 rolls around.

I didn’t even see that Nathan, good catch very bizarre. I’m thinking it may be a viral marketing thing, perhaps they’ve planted sites that relate to the film that would come up under those search conditions…
