The rules
The following is a summary of the rules for the competition. Complete rules can be found here.
Register for the competition before 8:00pm on Thursday, May 15, 2008 for a chance to be one of 250 people selected to receive a Flip Video camcorder for free and participate in the contest.
Once selected, participants can pick up their free Flip Video camcorders at the Short Film Corner from Fri, May 16 to Wed, May 21, between 11am and 2pm.
Filmmakers must be registered for the Short Film Corner to participate.
Submissions must be shot on a Flip Video camcorder.
The deadline for online submissions is Wed, May 21, at 5pm.
Your film has a maximum length of 3 minutes.
The competition
A jury chaired by Hengemeh Panahi, Founder and President of Celluloid Dreams, will determine the top ten films.
The grand prize will be presented by Facebook at an award ceremony on Thu, May 22 at 4pm at the Short Film Corner.
The prizes
The grand prize winner will receive $10,000 and a HP workstation with a 30-inch monitor.
Second and third prize winners will each receive a HP laptop.
The top ten filmmakers will receive an Auteurs t-shirt.
All participants will receive a Flip Video camcorder.
The details
Participants must be the authors of the submitted works.
Submissions are limited to one per participant.
Each participant shall confirm and guarantee that all rights associated with the short submitted are cleared by signing a release form provided by the organizers.
The release form will grant the organizers the right to edit, showcase and distribute the films.
